Refraction of Light

Light generally moves in a straight line. Once it hits a surface, it can bend. Now, once the rays are bent, it produces majorly an illusion. Consider water in a transparent glass. Put a long straight stick into it. The result will shock you; the straight stick appears bent.

Today, we have many representatives of God, but most of them are bending the truth of God. They’ve created an illusion using the settings of God such as prayers, bible study, giving, and many more. They’ve developed other doctrines to march their needs, and make the disciples see these illusive things as reality.

Think of it this way, how many preachers worldwide have taught about the theology of giving? How many of them taught so that they might be rich through the giving of the congregations? Now, such folks end up bending the truth from a humble book called the bible into what they desire. Perhaps you’ve known this already, a bunch of leaders holding the truth in this way end up misleading the innocent people, but they don’t even realize that they’re being misled. 

Today, the refraction of truths have been hooked up by traditionalists to uphold their traditions. Consider this, with or without the bible, there are things that are dimmed not worthy of eating by traditions. Choosing to defend the cause of a tradition by Christianity, which is a cause of Christ, is a bending of the truth. Consider seeing it the other way around, shouldn’t it be the righteousness of the church to shape the traditions? Sadly, the truth from church is bent to fit in the society. 

complete reflection of a ray of light within a medium from the surrounding surfaces back into the medium is referred to as the total internal reflection. It’s clear that every truth that God gives us is to be passed onto the people surrounding us, commonly referred to as the community. Unfortunately, much of these truths suffer total internal reflection, hence, the community can’t see it.

Life has been suffocated by the initial need we have for the word of God. We want it so we can grow, much less that we can reflect godliness. This creates a huge angle of incident, and a huge density difference between us, and those surrounding us. We develop the vocabulary of “us”, and that of them. We swiftly conclude their fate, and neglect the idea of sharing the truth to them. This makes the entire truth we received get lost within us. This, I call total internal reflection. The people that need to see the light from us end up perishing before their needs even get met. 

To those of us who let the truth we get suffer total internal reflection, what shall we say on the day of the Lord? Shall we say we didn’t know? Or perhaps, that we feared? It is written, “if they die in their sins without you warning them, their sin will be required on your head”, or shall we say the Lord lied when He said, “I do not delight in the death of a sinner”?

Wake up and be the surface that won’t let the truth either get refracted, or get totally internally reflected.
