Galileo Galilei (1564-1642) is considered the father of modern science for his great scientific discoveries. When they read the scientific theories fronted by Galileo, a lot of times people make it sound like he was a special man who needed no common treatment.

Before Galileo fronted the most talked of reality of the sun being the center of the universe, another man had done that, but his theory didn’t live for long. In 1616, Nicholas Copernicus fronted a heliocentric theory, but was put in the list of documents contradicting the Aristotle theory of the earth being the center of the universe.

By this time, Galileo was not a young man anymore. While people who had no idea of astronomy were refusing Nicholas Copernicus’ theory, he felt like a thorough investigation was necessary.

By 1632, even though Galileo didn’t say the Catholic belief was wrong, it was obvious that everyone could see that he was not a believer in the earth centering the universe.

If we are truly who we say we are, it wouldn’t have been so hard for people to recognize us even when we don’t say who we are. In Acts, the Bible talks about disciples first being called Christians in Antioch. This was not because of hew they introduced themselves, but how they were seen by the locals of Antioch.

Life is not about what we say it is, not about what we think it should be, but of what it truly is.

Specter didn’t need to say “Hey you, I’m his follower” on the night Jesus was betrayed. Even when he argued not knowing Jesus, it was clear that he was seen with Jesus. And mind you, these were not followers who knew Peter so well. Actually, they didn’t even know his name, that is why they said, “This man…”

If we’re for Jesus truly, we won’t need an explanation to make people believe who we are. If we’re not for Jesus, no matter how much signs we show, we are not for Jesus.

A kid would accept anything, would believe anything, but not for an adult. When we become mature, we ought to test all things, for in such things, our maturity is tested.
